Ominate

Based in Maribor, Slovenia, Ominate is fresh blood on the Drum & Bass scene - a producer and multi-instrumentalist who's been making noise since 2021. His focus sits deep in sound design, pushing the boundaries of Neurofunk with a style that's technically aggressive but never one-dimensional.

A guitarist at heart, Ominate bridges the gap between digital and organic sound. Alongside his brother Redline, he delivers a hybrid live show - live guitar layered over D&B that brings a raw, high-energy edge.

His production pulls from a wide range of influences - Mefjus, Finalfix, Metanoia, Abis, Audio, Ed Rush, Burr Oak but it's Gydra and Finalfix that sit closest to his identity. The result is a sound built on interesting leads, heavy subs, and rhythmic precision.

On the release front, Ominate has put out free downloads including Singularity (which pulled over 11,000 plays on SoundCloud within his first year), Null Entity, and Hollow.

He's landed releases on Bass Rabbit with BadboySound, featured on DNB Kompilacija with Murderer via DNB Konferenca, and secured a Patreon release on Neuroheadz with Dog Eat Dog - with a full EP incoming on the label including The Surge, Bite The Curb, Gunman, and Oppressive.

A staple of the Maribor scene, Ominate has been a consistent presence at Bass Fighters events at Dvorana Gustaf Pekarna, supporting lineups alongside international acts like Kaira (CZ) and Confusion (CZ). He reached the finals of the Bass Fighters pres. Zardonic DJ Contest - noted for his unique hybrid of Neurofunk and organic metal tones and has played DNB Konferenca in Ljubljana, a country-level platform showcasing Slovenia's best D&B talent. His sets have also earned support from Yasha (Blackout).

Whether he's delivering a raw Neurofunk assault or a melodic roller, the focus stays locked on the dancefloor. A Neurofunk specialist through and through but one with a deep appreciation for the soulful side of Hospitality D&B, jungle, and old school neuro.
